A pendant that I cast today. It's a life-tree, a ship and two geese together. There's room on the tree for a rune-stave or two. :)

Added ring.

very nice! this is of tin? can you make silver as well?

Yes, it is tin. I guess I could do silver if not for two slight problems: raw material costs and the melting point. ;)

i could send you some hand mined silver if you really wanted something interesting

my only stipulation would be that you make some of your coins out of it as well for me :)

Very interesting indeed! I'd have to figure out how to melt it.
I'll look into it.

my silver comes out of either native silver or large bulk galena (lead ore)

i worked a small mine shaft in northern bc canada for over 3 years now, mainly in the summer.

most of the silver was processed useing the traditional methods of smelting, and so far i ve produced around 250 oz of the interesting metal

the metal is silver though if tested it resembles sterling or castling silver due to its natural copper content.

i could probobly send a two oz of silver though i would need to figure out the shipping costs.

the metals not to valuable, its the time that went into getting it.

i would definitely send you some.

Sounds great! Hard, manly work. There are no mountains in the Netherlands and the only mines we have are saltmines, some -now closed- coalmines in the south (chalk hills) and the odd open quarry, far east and south.

I've been to parts of Europe that are mountainous and it was breathtaking. I've been in a mine or two....touristy places now.

Why don't you put some photos in your DA folders of the minerals and the mine? I'm sure they'd make great shots!

Thank you! It is quite crude, but then again, I went for a somewhat 'primitiv form'. (Dutch: Primitieve vorm) :P
